Villa Girardi

VILLA GIRARDI is a family owned winery estabilished in 1986. It lies in the valley that joins San Pietro in Cariano and Fumane in the historical Classic Valpolicella wine region, in the north west of Verona.

VILLA GIRARDI is a typical Venetian villa, dating back to the end of the 1700s, designed by the architect Luigi Trezza and set in a large park with century-old trees and shrubs, surrounded by 30 hectares of vineyards belonging to the property itself.

The land is made of limestone and the climate is mild, necessary conditions to grow the local grape varieties: Corvina Veronese, Rondinella and Molinara. The “Bure Alto” vineyard is located upon a hill where the grapes for the production of the most historical and typical wines of the region, besides the Valpolicella Classico, the Amarone and the Recioto, are cultivated.

VILLA GIRARDI throughout the years has grown acquiring new land in the Verona province DOC area, specializing in the production of high quality white wines such as Soave DOC , Lugana DOC and Custoza DOC and red wines such as Bardolino DOC.
